Import BIMs from Autodesk Construction Cloud

How to import models from your ACC or BIM360 project

Introduction

This guide will walk you through the steps to import Building Information Models (BIMs) and 3D models from Autodesk Construction Cloud into Tobe Builder. Follow these instructions to seamlessly import your models and start working on your project in Tobe Builder.

Steps to Import Models

Step 1: Sign In

  1. Open the ACC menu.

  2. Click on the Sign In button located at the top-right corner of the menu

Step 2: Complete Authentication

  1. A browser window will open to complete the authentication flow.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to log in and authorize access.

  3. Allow EICUnityViewer access to your Autodesk Construction Cloud data.

Step 3: Select the Hub and Project

  1. After authentication, return to Tobe Builder.

  2. Select the Hub where your project is located.
    ​

  3. Choose the specific Project you want to import models from.
    ​

Step 4: Choose the Folder and Model

  1. Navigate to the Folder containing your BIMs and 3D models.
    ​

  2. Select the Model you wish to import.

Step 5: Place the Model in the Scene

  1. Hover mouse over scene view to show placement reticule

  2. Click on the map in the scene view to place the BIM.

Your model will be converted and loaded into the scene.

If override geolocation is set to true, the model will be placed at the location selected in the scene view.

If override geolocation is set to false. model will be geolocated as per the grid offset configured in the project setup. See this article for more details on importing georeferenced BIMs.
