AR Views are a BIM visibility set published to the cloud for use in TobeMaps. Follow these steps to create and publish an AR View.

Steps to Create an AR View

Step 1: Open the AR View Menu

  1. Open Tobe Builder.

  2. Click on the AR View icon in the toolbar to open the AR View menu.

Step 2: Create a New AR View

  1. Click on Create New AR View.

  2. The AR View Editor will open automatically.

  3. Enter a name for the AR View in the AR View Editor.

Step 3: Set Model Visibility

  1. Configure the visibility of models using one or more of the following methods:

    • BIM Hierarchy

    • Viewport Selection

    • BIM Links Controlled by Timeline (Tobe Builder Pro only)

Step 4: Set BIM Quality

  1. Choose the BIM quality level (Low, Medium, High, or Full). This setting optimizes the published models to reduce triangle count, improving performance on lower-end devices at the cost of model precision.

Step 5: Add Image Targets

  1. Add and name Image Targets (Vertical & Horizontal).

Step 6: Add Ground Anchor

  1. Add a ground anchor close to the Image Targets at the expected start ground. This step is required.

Step 7: Save or Publish the AR View

  1. Click Save in the AR View Editor to save the AR View as a draft that can be modified and published later.

  2. Click Publish in the AR View Editor to push the visibility set and Image Targets to TobeMaps. A dialog will appear to confirm your AR View contents and publish settings.
