New User Invitations can be sent from within the Inbox Monster platform at any time. This action can only be performed by either Account Owners or Administrators.
To invite a teammate to your Inbox Monster instance, navigate to the Settings icon ⚙️, then select Access.
💡If you do not see Access within your Settings dropdown, you may not be an administrator for your account. Your Inbox Monster account manager can assist if you need an adjustment to your account permissions.
Within Access Settings, you'll see three to four subsections:
User Permissions: Toggles through which Administrators can modify what team members with the 'user' role have access to.
Add Client Member: Text input and Role assignment for inviting new teammates to your Inbox Monster instance.
(Optional) Pending Client Invitations: This section may display email addresses that have been invited to your Inbox Monster instance via email invitation, but have not yet configured their login credentials.
Client Members: All existing members of your Inbox Monster instance will be listed here, alongside their User/Administrator permissions status. Administrators have the option to Remove users within this section.
Navigate to the Add Client Member section, then input the email address of the individual you'd like to invite to your Inbox Monster instance.
After inputting the email address, you can select which Role to assign to this teammate. Users and Administrators have different permission sets, outlined below:
User Permissions
Users can access the sections of the platform that are enabled within the User Permission section of Access Settings.
Rendering access levels
Most permissions on this page are a simple on or off. Rendering has one extra choice, because seeing a render and changing one are not the same thing.
When the Rendering toggle is on, an access level appears beside it with two options. Exactly one is always selected.
Setting | What people with the 'user' role can do |
Off | No access to Rendering at all. Administrators only, which is how the toggle has always behaved. |
View only | Open and view existing renders, previews and QA results — but not change them. Every editor is read only and the Save button is not shown. |
View and edit | Everything in View only, plus re-running, renaming, deleting and managing QA rules. |
The rule behind it is straightforward: anything that would change the account is restricted, and anything that only changes what you are looking at is not. Filtering, sorting, zooming and switching between clients or device previews all stay available on View only.
A few things worth knowing:
The level is set per account, not per person, and applies to everyone with the 'user' role.
Administrators are unaffected by it, and only administrators can see or change it.
Enable all and Disable all set the toggles only. Neither changes the selected access level.
Changing the level takes effect straight away — nobody needs to log out and back in.
Accounts that already had Rendering switched on keep full access. Nothing changed for anyone on release, and no administrator needs to do anything to preserve how their account already worked.
