This article outlines one of two methods for integrating Inbox Monster with your Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance.

This method makes use of the AppExchange app, and offers the ability to access the full Inbox Monster platform via SSO from within your Marketing Cloud instance.

The primary benefits of the AppExchange integration include:

  • Automatic creation and updating of Inbox Monster Seedlist Data Extension within Contact Builder.

  • Automatic Seedlist Injection to perform Inbox Placement testing alongside all Email Studio deployments to greater than 500 subscribers.

  • Full Access to the Inbox Monster Deliverability Platform from within Salesforce Marketing Cloud

    • Optional: SSO Support within Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Dynamic email content is automatically rendered for Partner Seeds without the need to manually create attributes for seeds.

  • Seeds aren’t susceptible to Hard and Soft Bounce processing and unsubscribe actions.

  • Seeds don’t count toward super message utilization.

  • Seed open and click activities aren’t included in tracking reports.

The other method utilizes Salesforce's Partner Seed List API functionality, and does not provide SSO from within Marketing Cloud. Documentation for this other method can be found here (This is also the preferred method for most Marketers).

Step 1: Install Inbox Monster into SFMC

Click the below link to begin installing Inbox Monster into your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account.

💡 If the above link does not work, please adjust the URL to fit your Salesforce Marketing Cloud service stack (e.g. https://mc.s11.exacttarget.com/ for Stack 11)

Click 'Install' button in the top right of the screen. Agree to the Terms of Service.

Select the Access tab at the top of the package

(Optional) Select 'License All Users' if this is preferred for your organization.

Step 2: Select Your Business Unit

Select the Business Unit you would like the grant the Inbox Monster app permission to.

Be sure to include all relevant users within each Business Unit you would like to grant permission to.

Step 3: Select Inbox Monster from SFMC

From within your Marketing Cloud account, select InboxMonster from the drop down.

Step 4: Open Inbox Monster

Click the 'Open Inbox Monster' button to open Inbox Monster and automatically sign in using your current SFMC credentials.

For optimal performance, we recommend logging in using this method at least once every 60 days to avoid automatic logout.

Step 5: Send All MIDs to our Support Team

If you have multiple MIDs with SFMC, please share that complete list with your Inbox Monster support team so we can ensure all MIDs are synced to your Inbox Monster account.

Step 6: Include This List of IPs

If you are using Marketing Cloud AllowList to manage login from specific lists of IPs, please ensure the following IPs are added and allowed API access

  • 3.136.16.19

  • 3.140.233.31

  • 18.220.127.138

After the IPs have been added, it may take 5 to 10 minutes to update within Marketing Cloud.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the integration process.
