Looking for the steps to connect your accounts? See How to Link Your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Accounts.
Before you connect: 3 requirements
You must connect Instagram through Facebook. In Influur, you log in with Facebook to link your Instagram account.
Your accounts must be public. Both your Facebook and your Instagram accounts need to be public, and your Instagram must be a Creator or Business account (any option except private).
Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page. A Facebook Page is not the same as a Facebook account. See the next section.
Facebook account vs. Facebook Page
Facebook account: your personal profile, the one you log in with.
Facebook Page: a separate page that you create from your Facebook account.
What we need: the Facebook account you log in with must manage a Facebook Page, and that Page must be linked to your Instagram account. You need admin access to that Page. This link is set up between Facebook and Instagram, not in Influur.
Why do we ask for this? It is the only way we can access Meta's data about your profile's reach.
Important: It doesn't matter if your Page or your Facebook account has followers, or if you never use it. It is only a technical requirement. What ends up linked to Influur is the Instagram account you select. Facebook and the Page are just a technical step before.
If you don't have a Page linked yet: how to link it to Instagram
Do this before you come back to Influur, if you don't have one:
Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
Tap Edit profile.
Under Public business information, tap Page.
Choose a Page you manage, or create a new one.
Tap Done.
Your Instagram needs to be a Creator or Business account to do this. If it is a personal account, switch it first in the Instagram settings (Account type and tools). Menu names can change, so if you don't see these options, check Instagram's own help.
Common issues and what to do
My Page doesn't appear when I try to link it: you may not have admin access to that Page. Ask the Page owner to give you access, or use the Facebook account that owns it.
I just created my Page and Influur can't find it: a new Page may not have access to Instagram yet in Meta's tools. Make sure the Page is linked to your Instagram account, directly in Facebook or Instagram, before you go back to Influur. We can't fix this from our side.
I used the wrong Facebook account: log in with the Facebook account that manages the Page linked to your Instagram.
My Instagram is personal or private: switch it to a Creator or Business account and make it public.
Permissions are missing: reconnect from Settings → Connect Social Media and approve all permissions.
Still stuck: log out of Facebook and Instagram, and try again.
