Sync 2 Ford and Lincoln Screen Calibration

The Sync 2 System has a hidden diagnostic menu that allows you to view details about the unit. Such as part number, serial data, etc. The menu also has an option to recalibrate the screen. Calibrating the screen isn't usually something any of our customers should need to do, but in the off chance the touch screen is having an issue, have them try this procedure before exchanging the screen.

Note: The screen calibration is internal to the APIM, it is not stored to the screen, so if the screen calibration does not fix the issue, BOTH the screen and APIM will need an exchange.

To access the menu, just have the radio on. Click FM to be on FM frequency. Then press and hold the hard buttons for CD EJECT and SCAN FWD for about 5-10 seconds. The diagnostic menu should pop up. Then click APIM Diagnostics. The option for screen calibration will be on this screen. Click it, and perform the screen calibration by touching the screen in the areas it asks you to.

Here is a video to assist. We did not make this video, so if you have to send it to a customer, please let them know that we don't have our own video for this at this time.
