How Do I Use The Industry Filter?

In this article we will cover how to use Industry Filter in Advanced Search.

If you need to find companies that are operating in certain markets the Industry filter will help you achieve this goal!

In Advanced Search expand the Industry filter on the lefthand side of the Search page.

Inside the Industry filter you have four options:

  1. Match All or Match Any logic

  2. Target Industries

  3. SIC codes

  4. NAICS codes

💡 Tip: A list of SIC and NAICS codes can be uploaded through a CSV file.

Here is the breakdown

  1. Match All or Match Any logic:

    1. Match All: will provide search results that match all of the selections you've entered in the Industry filter, narrowing the number of companies you can see in your search.

    2. Match Any: will provide search results that match any of the selections you've entered in the Industry filter, expanding the number of companies you can see in your search.

  2. Target Industries

    1. Choose one or as many Industry categories from the drop down menu as you need to capture your target audience.

  3. SIC Codes

    1. SIC Code stands for Standard Industry Classification Code. It is a four-digit code. Every company in the Unites States has once which further classifies their company based on their services and solutions and aligns them with similar businesses. Using the SIC Code filter can help you narrow your search results to more niche verticals.

  4. NAICS Codes

    1. NAICS Code stands for North American Industry Classification System Code. It is a six-digit code. Every company in North America has once which further classifies their company based on their services and solutions and aligns them with similar business. Using the SIC Code filter can help you narrow your search results to more niche verticals.

Add one or as many Industry categories to your search as you need. Once you've added your selections you can add additional filters to narrow your results down to the ICP you're looking to target.
