Managing Project Documents

This article explains how to organize, upload, and share project documents in INGENIOUS.BUILD for easy access and collaboration.

Overview

The redesigned File Manager in INGENIOUS.BUILD streamlines document organization and sharing by consolidating all files into one view, enabling bulk actions, improving upload feedback, and enhancing file security for more efficient collaboration.


Process

Access Project Documents

  • Navigate to your project menu and select Documents.

    This opens the File Manager, where you’ll see all drives, both your own and the company drive, in one unified view.


Add Drives or Folders

  • Use the options in the upper-right corner to:

    • Add New Drive: Create a dedicated space for specific folders or files.

    • Upload Documents: Add a folder or files to an existing drive.


Search, Filter, and Bulk Actions

  • Use the search to quickly locate drives.

  • Select multiple drives to perform bulk actions such as:

    • Download

    • Archive (replaces deletion for safer handling)


Archiving Files

  • Instead of deleting files, use the Archive option.

  • Archived files are preserved and can be restored later.

  • This ensures important data is never accidentally lost.



Improved Upload Experience

  • Files are automatically scanned for viruses.

  • Uploads include clear feedback, including progress indicators and any errors that may occur.


Sharing Files

By default, newly created drives are private. To share drives:

  • Click the + icon below Shared With next to the Drive.

  • Adjust permissions as needed.

  • Click Save.
