Why create multiple classes?
Creating multiple classes helps you to stay organised with different groups of students.
Separate classes allows you to:
Assign different work to students in each class. Each class has its own unique Student Login information
Create a separate Scope and Sequences for each class
Plan and keep track of lesson completion and annotations for each class.
Specialist subject teachers, librarians, casual teachers or anyone who teaches more than one class can create a separate program of Inquisitive lessons for each class they teach.
Individual classroom teachers can create a new class for differentiated groups within their classroom.
Co-teachers can share a class with another Inquisitive teacher to work from the same program and lesson materials.
Where are my classes?
Your classes are accessible from the top navigation bar, where you can also create a new class or manage your existing classes.
Create a new class
Create a new class in seconds using the ‘Create a new class ’ button. Simply add your curriculum as well as the grades and subjects you’re teaching and you’re all set.
We suggest that all teachers create a new class at the start of each teaching year. New classes come with a brand new Planner and Student Login for Assignments.
The classes from your previous teaching year can be moved into your archived classes where they will be saved for your records.
Share a Class
If you co-teach you can add another teacher to your class. To share a class:
Click the Class dropdown menu at the top of your screen.
Click Share Class.
Enter the email address(es) of any Inquisitive teachers you would like to share your Class with and click Invite to Class.
They are now added to your Class.
When a class is shared, multiple user icons will appear next to your class
Managing your Classes
Click on ‘Manage Classes’ to see all the classes you have created. From there, select the three dots to be able to Edit, Share, Duplicate or Archive.
Note for archived classes: Archived classes are stored for at least seven years so you will never lose a record of what you have taught.
