What are store credit reminders?
Store credit reminders are automated emails or push notifications sent to customers who have an outstanding balance in their wallet. These reminders are a simple but powerful way to increase redemption rates and bring customers back to your store.
By prompting customers to use their remaining credit, you boost engagement, encourage repeat purchases, and strengthen long-term loyalty.
You can send reminders as Emails or Push notifications:
Email reminders are customizable messages that inform customers about their outstanding store credit balance, helping drive engagement and encourage repeat purchases.
Push notifications are real-time messages sent to customers’ mobile devices, notifying them about their outstanding store credit balance. They’re ideal for immediate, attention-grabbing reminders, whether the credit is close to expiring or hasn’t been used in a while.
Note: To receive Push notifications, the customer must first add your store’s Mobile Pass. Learn more about Mobile Pass here
How to set up store credit reminders
Follow these steps to activate and customize your store credit reminder notifications:
In your Rise.ai Dashboard, navigate to Notifications
Select the Customer activity tab ➞ Locate Store credit reminders.
Click Set Up to begin configuring your reminder settings.
Use the toggles to enable Email and/or Push notification reminders.
Email: Sends a branded reminder email to the customer.
Push: Sends a real-time mobile notification (requires Mobile Pass).
If you don’t see the option to activate reminders, this feature may be limited to white-label users.
To enable it, contact support with your domain, sender email, and business name.
How to manage your store credit reminder notifications
Once you’ve enabled store credit reminders, click Manage to control when reminders are sent and who receives them.
You’ll then see the following configuration options:
‘After last activity’
Customize the notification sent a specific number of days after the customer’s last store credit activity.
Store credit activity includes:
Earning store credit
Redeeming store credit (even partially)
Manual balance adjustments (excluding bulk actions)
Example: Send a reminder 30 days after the customer last interacted with store credit.
‘Before expiration’
Customize the notification sent a specific number of days before the customer’s store credit is set to expire.
Example: Let the customer know 7 days before their balance expires.
'Remind only if balance is more than'
Define a minimum wallet balance required to trigger the notification.
This ensures you only reach customers with a meaningful amount of credit.
Example: Only send reminders if the customer’s balance is greater than $1.
Additional notes
You can assign multiple reminders by clicking + Add Reminder and setting different conditions.
To delete a reminder, click the trash can icon next to the reminder you’d like to remove.
These configurations apply to both email and push notifications, depending on which method you enabled at the beginning.
