This guide will provide you with the necessary information to get your stockroom set up with Invedent's stock location stickers.
We recommend organising your stockroom before setting up the stickers.
Understanding the Stock Location Stickers
In your sticker pack, you will receive five pages A4 pages of stock location stickers, consisting of 27 main location stickers and 9 sub-locations within each parent location.
Pro Tip: Invedent sends out stock location stickers when you first sign up, but you can also print your own by following this linked guide.
Sticker Placement (Must watch video above)
Start at one corner of the room and move step by step to the other end, putting stickers on shelves and cupboards following the increasing order of your stock location numbers. Doing this helps create an easy and straightforward path for checking your inventory, going from the smallest to the largest number.
In places that get wet or cleaned often, cover the stickers with clear sticky tape to protect them from water and make them last longer.
Pro Tip
When setting up, give each area a few extra stickers. For example, after covering the reception area with enough stickers, keep some extra before moving to the next area, like the Steri. This way, if you later decide to change things around in the reception, you won't need to start with fresh stickers from the end of your batch. Remember, the Invedent system uses the sticker numbers to guide the stock check, moving from the lower numbers to the higher ones.
For cupboards with lots of stock on each shelf, use two stock location stickers for each shelf.
For cupboards with less stock on each shelf, use a single stock location sticker for both shelves. (Typically, this method is used under the steri sink for bulkier items)
Important!
When sticking down your stickers, keep these things in mind:
Do not fold the data matrix barcode
Place sticky tape over the top of cupboards that are regularly cleaned to prevent water and leaning products from leaking into the stickers.
