Now that steps 1-3 are complete, it's time to start implementing stock management in your practice. There are multiple ways to implement stock management, so what we want you to do is pick the process that makes sense for your practice!

It’s extremely important you watch the full video below.

If you are going to be implementing a scanning device like an iPad or iPhone, please make sure you follow this guide to set up the Invedent app

Option 1 - Full Scanning Implementation

  • Scan stock out as you take it from the stock room

  • Must implement time at the start or the end of the clinical day to do the scanning

Option 2 - Scan when you take the last of an item

  • Scan stock out to 0 when you take the last one. This acts as a notification to let you know you need to re-order the item

  • Min qty for each item must be set to 0 and Max set to your usual order quantity

Option 3 - Stocktake Process

  • When stock runs low staff write what they need on a stock running sheet

  • Stock manager runs a stocktake & creates an order from Invedent while they walk around the practice with an iPad
