Why Notes Are Essential for Managing Leads

Keeping track of lead interactions and buyer responses is critical to closing deals efficiently. The Notes feature on Investorlift.ai lets you organize key information in one central place, so you never lose context during your sales process.

Follow the guide below to add, edit, and manage notes on your buyer leads.

1. Add a Note to a Lead

Notes can be added directly from the Lead Board on any active lead.

  1. Navigate to the deal: Click on the property listing you're working with.

  2. Hover over the lead you want to update.

  3. Click the note icon πŸ“ to open the note field.

  4. Write your note: Enter any relevant details - buyer interest, feedback, or follow-up reminders.

  5. Click Add Note. The note is now attached to the lead.

2. Edit or Delete a Note

You can update or remove any note directly from the lead card.

  1. To edit: Click the ✏️ pencil icon beside the note.

  2. Make your changes, then click the βœ… checkmark to save or X to cancel.

  3. To delete: Click the πŸ—‘οΈ trash can icon next to the note you want to remove.

3. Add Notes for Leads Marked "Not Interested"

When a lead is no longer interested, log the reason to keep your pipeline data clean and useful.

  1. Move the lead to the Not Interested column.

  2. In the pop-up, select one or more preset reasons.

  3. Click Add a Note if you'd like to include more context (optional).

  4. Click Submit to save. Icons representing the selected reasons will appear on the lead card. To change them, click the ✏️ pencil icon.

⚠️ Important: If you move the lead out of the Not Interested column, the reason icons will be removed.

4. Add Notes for Leads Marked "Interested"

When moving a lead to the Interested column, a pop-up prompts you to capture why.

  1. Enter why the buyer is interested. Include relevant insights such as "Requested walkthrough," "Made a verbal offer," or "Fits their buy box."

  2. Click Submit to save the note.

5. View All Notes for a Lead

All notes, both manual entries and status-based notes, are accessible from the lead card in one place.

  • Click the Notes icon on the lead card.

  • A panel will display all past and current notes, including manual entries and status-based notes (e.g., Not Interested reasons).

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Important: All notes are saved to the property lead and synced with the buyer's profile in the Classic Investorlift Buyers tab under a section called Notes. This gives you persistent visibility on buyer behavior and history across all deals.

Notes give you a complete picture of every buyer relationship - from first contact to closed deal. The more consistently you use them, the easier it is to pick up where you left off. If you have any questions, our support team is here to help.
