Why Property Inquiries Are Central to Closing Deals Faster

Seamless communication between buyers and sellers is essential for closing deals fast. Investorlift's Property Inquiries make it easy to interact with buyers and exchange critical property information - all in one place.

Follow the steps below to send, receive, and manage Property Inquiries on Investorlift.

Step 1: Understand the Two Types of Inquiries

Inquiries are displayed below the seller's contact information on the deals site. There are two types:

  • Property Inquiries: buyer questions about a property.

  • Property Address Requests: buyer requests to see the property address.

Step 2: Send a Property Inquiry

As a buyer, follow these steps to send an inquiry to a seller:

  1. Click Send Inquiry.

  2. A pop-up will appear. Enter your question and click Submit Inquiry.

  3. A confirmation will appear showing the seller has received the inquiry.

Step 3: Submit a Property Address Request

To request the full property address from the deals site:

  1. Click Submit Address Request to view the street view or map view.

  2. Check the box and click View Full Address.

  3. The full address will be displayed.

Step 4: View Property Inquiries on Your Admin Account

  • When you receive a notification for an address request or property inquiry, click the Property Inquiries section in the left-hand column to view all inquiries.

  • To view inquiries for a specific property, click on the property and select Inquiries.

Step 5: Take Action on Received Inquiries

When you receive an inquiry, you can take any of these actions:

  • Send the address (paper plane icon)

  • Add a note

  • Respond to the buyer via text

  • Remove the property inquiry

  • Edit (available only for inquiries)

Step 6: Filter Property Inquiries

  • Choose the type of inquiry to view: Address Requests, Inquiry, New Address Requests, or All Inquiry Types.

  • Select a specific date or time period to filter results.

  • Click Filter to apply your selection.

Step 7: Troubleshoot Notification Issues

If you are not receiving property inquiry notifications, check these three settings:

a. Disposition Settings

If the toggle is set to ON, buyers can immediately see the address after requesting it - and you may stop receiving notifications.

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ To require manual approval: Go to Settings β†’ Disposition Settings β†’ General and turn the toggle OFF.
To let buyers see the address automatically: leave it ON. You will still receive a notification β€” you just don't need to click Send Address.

b. Notification Settings

Check your Notification Settings and adjust the toggles to ensure you're opted in to receive inquiry notifications via your preferred channel (SMS or email).

c. Opted Out of SMS

If you use the same phone number as a buyer and the buyer replied STOP to any Investorlift system message, all messages to that number are paused (managed by Twilio). To resume, reply START to the same number where STOP was sent.

Staying on top of Property Inquiries helps you respond faster, build buyer confidence, and close deals before interest fades.
