Tax returns: The functions briefly explained

The Tax Returns page is where you manage all of your existing and in-progress tax returns. This page allows you to start, edit, filter, and track every tax return associated with your account.

1. Page Header

At the top of the page, you will see:

  • Page title: “Tax Returns”

  • Short description: Explains that you can start, submit, delete, edit, track, and review your tax returns

  • Create button (top-right): Quickly start a new tax return using Guided, Smart, or Expert mode

2. Filter Bar

You can filter your tax returns using multiple options at the top of the table:

  • Filter by Name

  • Filter by Canton

  • Filter by Status

  • Filter by Year

  • Filter by Type

These filters make it easy to find a specific tax return, even if you have many across different years or cantons.

3. Tax Returns Table

The main table lists all of your tax returns in a clean, structured layout. Each row includes:


​Canton

Shows the canton for that tax return (e.g., Zurich).
​Name

The name of the taxpayer or the filing entry.
​Year

The tax year (2025, 2026, etc.).
​Type

Shows the mode used to prepare the return:

  • Smart Tax

  • Guided

  • Expert

Each type is displayed with a blue pill-shaped label.

Opened

The date you first created the return.

Edited

The most recent date and time you updated it.

Status

Shows the current state of the return, such as:

  • Draft

  • Submitted - paper

  • Submitted - online

Three-dot Action Menu

Located on the far right of each row.
Allows you to:

  • Edit the tax return

  • View or manage it

  • Delete a tax return

4. Troubleshooting

My tax returns are not showing up

  • Refresh the page. If they still don’t appear, contact support through the chat widget.

Filters aren’t working

  • Try refreshing the page or using a different browser.

The Create button doesn’t work

  • Clear your browser cache/cookies or try another device.

Dates or statuses look incorrect

  • Refresh the page or log out and back in.
