E-Tax Statement

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What is the e-tax statement?

The e-tax statement is a special document from your bank that contains all tax-relevant information about your securities and accounts.

For example, it includes:

  • Stocks, ETFs, or funds in your portfolio

  • Interest income and dividends

  • Asset values at year-end

  • Information about withholding tax

Many banks in Switzerland provide this statement specifically for the tax return.
iqtax can read the QR codes on the e-tax statement and automatically extract the information for your tax declaration.

Example

You have an investment account with a bank (for example with ETFs or stocks).
At the end of the year, the bank sends you an e-tax statement summarizing all tax-relevant data for your tax return.

Document

The e-tax statement is usually provided as a PDF in your e-banking or sent to you by mail. Depending on the bank, additional fees may apply.

How to add it in iqtax

Simply upload your e-tax statement.
iqtax automatically recognizes your securities, income, and asset values and transfers the data into your tax return.
