How can I upload my documents?
You can upload your documents with iqdocs directly to the platform or photograph them with your smartphone using the iqtax app. All documents are automatically recognized, and transferred to your tax return.
How long does it take to complete a tax return?
Usually only a few minutes. iqtax automatically reads your documents, so you hardly have to enter anything manually.
Does iqtax also offer tax consulting?
Yes. Our tax assistant answers your questions directly in the app. In addition, you can choose our expert tax return service, where an expert will provide you with personal 1:1 support or prepare your entire tax return for you.
Where is my data stored?
All your data is encrypted and stored exclusively on FINMA and ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, and 27018 compliant servers in Switzerland. More about data security here.
Who has access to my data?
Your data is only visible to you. Neither third parties nor partners have access to it. Our employees can only view your data if you request one-to-one support as part of the expert tax return service and give us your consent to do so. Can I delete my data?
Yes, you can delete your data yourself at any time in the app's profile settings. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
Can I file my tax return with iqtax if I am self-employed (sole proprietorship)?
If you are self-employed and run a sole proprietorship, you currently cannot file your tax return via iqtax. In this case, we recommend our Expert Tax Return service. Our tax professionals will handle your return and provide individual guidance.
Which cantons are supported by iqtax?
Zurich is the first and currently integrated canton. Additional cantons be connected gradually throughout end of 2026. Nationwide coverage across Switzerland is planned within the next 1–2 tax periods (2029).
