Sharing is caring. So authors will find a tab on their dashboards called Catalogue.

The Catalogue is where you'll see your collection of shared courses. That is, any other courses other iQualify partners have shared with you to use.

The catalogue is our first step into making it easy to share your courses with other iQualify partners. You tell us which courses you'd like to share, with which partners, and those courses will appear in those partners' catalogues to make a copy of.

You'll still see your own organisation's template courses and our iQualify templates under Templates for the moment.

Using catalogue courses

How do I use a course from the catalogue?

When you'd like to use a course from the catalogue, simply choose Use this.

When you select Use this, you'll get a duplicate of that course on your dashboard and you'll be added as an author. This is now your own, separate copy of the course to edit.

Can I preview a course?

The best way to preview a course and take a look at the content, is to go with Use this. When you're added to the course you can see all the content, and browse through it. Then, if you decide you don't want to use the course after all... no problem, just Archive it.

Adding to the course catalogue

How do I share courses with other partners?

For the moment, the way to get your courses added to the catalogue is for Account Owners to contact us. Just let us know these details:

  • The name and root content Id of the course(s) you'd like to share.

  • The partners you'd like to share the course(s) with.

  • What you'd like to name this group of courses and organisations.

As account owners, you're in control of the shared courses you're a part of. For instance, you might decide in conjunction with another iQualify partner(s) that you could both save some time in sharing a professional development course you've made. You both let us know, and we can set up that shared group.

How is the catalogue different from templates?

They're very similar. The main difference is that courses in the catalogue are those that you can share outside of your organisation.

Updates

How are the courses in the catalogue updated?

When you look at the courses in the catalogue, you'll see when they were updated and by which partner.

When the owners of a course in the catalogue republish it, their updates flow through to the catalogue.

If I use a course from the catalogue, will it get updated too?

When you use a course from the catalogue, you create a separate copy of it. As an author, you can edit that copy, so we wanted to make sure any updates did not flow through and overwrite any work you've done. So, updates to the original course in the catalogue do not affect the copies you've made from it.
