How to upload a file
First, find the assessed task that requires you to upload a file:
navigate to tasks in the left menu,
select the assessed tab,
click go to page to see what the task requires.
This task requires the learner to upload a mindmap:
click the add file button to upload the task,
select the file you wish to upload from the left menu (such as a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation, image or PDF), or
you can take a photo or record video directly from your device if you have enabled your webcam.
Once you have selected the file you want to upload, you will see the option to add more files:
You can:
add as many files as you like, or
edit the files you have uploaded, or
click upload if you are happy with the file(s) you have added.
The window for Fencing Rural Properties Flow Chart Task will appear showing your uploaded file(s). If you want to add more files later or aren't ready to submit, you can save draft to make more changes later. If you have no changes to make click submit to send your task for assessment:
How to upload a video task
Whilst you can upload videos for assessment using the method above, you may also have a specific task that requires you to either take a video or upload a video recording.
In the assessed video recording task below you can choose to either record from camera or upload a file:
To upload a video task:
select the video file from your device,
when the video is uploaded, play it to make sure it works,
save draft to make more changes later, or
submit your video for assessment.
Note:
If you select a file type that doesn’t look like a video file, for example a JPEG image, you will get a pop up alert to tell you.
A progress wheel will let you see how long it will take for your video to upload.
Whilst there is no limit to the number of files that you upload, uploading very large files could cause time out problems. This is a general issue affecting other websites, and is not specific to iQualify. Some tips are:
Videos recorded using Add video are set to a resolution of 480p - this means they consume significantly less bandwidth for uploading.
Videos uploaded using Add video retain their original resolution - so if you upload an HD video - for example 1080p - it may be too big to upload. In this case we suggest converting the video to a lower resolution prior to uploading.
How to record an audio recording task
When you are ready to record, select the black microphone icon in the bottom left of the task
While recording press the pause icon to pause the recording, or the stop icon to finish recording.
when you have finished your recording, play it to make sure it works,
save draft to make more changes later, or
submit your audio recording for assessment.
