Flash Sales
What you'll learn
A Flash Sale lets you sell a Buy It Now product at a discounted price for a limited time during your live show. You set the discount percentage and the duration, buyers have to act fast before time runs out. This guide shows you how to set up and run a Flash Sale, step by step.
Before you start
You need:
An approved seller account on Jamble
A show with at least one product listed as Buy It Now
The Flash sale option enabled on that product, configured when you create or edit the listing
Important. Flash Sales only work with Buy It Now products. You cannot run a Flash Sale on a Real-time offers or Sudden Death product.
How it works
A Flash Sale is not a separate sell mode, it's an option you add to a Buy It Now product. When you create or edit a product and set it to Buy It Now, you can toggle on the Flash sale option and configure the discount and duration.
When you start that product during your show, the app asks whether you want to start as a Flash Sale or Buy It Now. You choose at that moment, so you can have the Flash Sale configured and still decide to sell at full price.
Configure the Flash Sale on your product
When creating or editing a listing, select Buy It Now as the sell mode. You'll see a Flash sale toggle appear below the price field. Turn it on to reveal two new fields.
The section shows three fields to fill in when the Flash sale toggle is on.
Price. The full price of the product. The discount is calculated from here.
Discount (%). The percentage off. You can set any value between 10 and 90 percent. On a $200.00 product with a 30 percent discount, the buyer pays $140.00.
Timer (Seconds). How long the Flash Sale lasts. You choose it within the limits shown in the app.
Save the listing. The Flash Sale is configured and ready to be activated during your show.
Start the Flash Sale during your show
When you're live, find the product in your product list and tap Start. Because this product has Flash Sale enabled, the app shows you a choice.
Tap Flash Sale to start the discounted sale. Tap Buy It Now to sell at full price. Tap Later to cancel.
After your choice, the product gets pinned at the top of the show and the timer starts.
What buyers see
When the Flash Sale is active, the product card changes. The bright lime banner, the strikethrough full price, the countdown and the slide button make it obvious it's a limited-time offer.
What buyers notice in order.
Lime green banner with Flash Sale • X percent OFF at the top of the card.
Original price struck through next to the discounted price highlighted in lime.
Countdown timer showing the time left.
Lime green slide button with Buy Now: $X.XX, instead of the usual purple.
Items left chip on the right side of the banner, for example "3 left".
Buyers slide to buy. As long as the timer is running and there's stock left, anyone watching your show can purchase.
When the Flash Sale ends
The Flash Sale ends in three cases.
The timer reaches zero. The countdown expires.
All items sell out. Every unit is purchased before the timer ends.
You end it manually. You can stop the sale early if you need to.
After it ends, if items remain, the product goes back to your product list. You can start it again as a regular Buy It Now at full price. All purchases from the Flash Sale appear in your orders, like regular sales.
Important. While a Flash Sale is running, you cannot pin another product. The Flash Sale product stays pinned until it ends. Plan your show flow accordingly.
How much you earn
The discount math is simple. The buyer pays the full price minus the percentage you set, and your earnings are calculated on that amount.
Jamble's fee is calculated on the discounted price, not the original price. On a $140.00 sale, the fee applies to $140.00.
Important tips
Build excitement first. Before starting, talk about the product. Show it up close, explain why it's special. Then say "Flash Sale starting now". This gets more buyers ready to act.
30 to 50 percent works well. A small discount doesn't feel urgent enough. 30 to 50 percent creates real excitement. Make sure the final price still works for you, that's what you earn.
Give buyers enough time. For higher-priced items, use at least a minute so buyers have time to decide and complete the purchase.
Use Flash Sales to re-energize your show. If audience energy dips mid-show, a surprise Flash Sale brings attention back. Don't overuse them, one or two per show keeps them special.
Announce it before starting. "Flash Sale in 10 seconds" gets viewers paying attention and ready to act when the timer starts.
You decide at start time. Even if it's configured, you can choose to start as regular Buy It Now instead. This gives you flexibility during the show.
Common questions
Can I run a Flash Sale on a Real-time offers product? No. Flash Sales only work with Buy It Now products. If you want time-limited competition, use Real-time offers or Sudden Death, those already have a timer and competing buyers.
Can I set a fixed amount discount (like $20.00 off) instead of a percentage? No. Flash Sales use percentage discounts only. Set the percentage that gives you the final price you want.
What happens if a buyer joins my show late? As long as the timer is running and there's stock left, anyone who joins can see and buy.
Does the discount come out of my earnings? Yes. Your earnings are based on the discounted price. If the full price is $200.00 and the discount is 30 percent, you earn on $140.00, minus Jamble's fee.
Can I stop a Flash Sale early? Yes. You can end it before the timer runs out.
Can I pin another product while a Flash Sale is running? No. The Flash Sale product stays pinned until it ends. Wait for it to end, then pin the next product.
What if a buyer taps buy right as the timer reaches zero? There's a brief grace period. If a buyer initiated a purchase just before the timer ended, the payment can still process.
How long can a Flash Sale last? You choose the duration when setting up the product, within the limits shown in the app.
Can I change the discount percentage during a Flash Sale? No. The discount and timer are set when you create the listing. To change them, edit the listing before starting.
