How Real-time Offers Work

What you will learn

Real-time offers are the heart of live selling on Jamble. When you start a sale during your live, buyers compete by making offers, and the highest offer wins. This guide shows how it works, from setting up the product to the buyer's payment.

Before you start

  • You need an approved seller account on Jamble

  • You need a scheduled or running live

  • You need at least one product in your live

The sell modes

When you add a product to your live, you choose a sell mode:

  • Oferta em tempo real (real-time offer): buyers compete with offers, the timer extends when offers come in at the end, and the highest offer wins

  • Morte súbita (sudden death): same as a real-time offer, but the timer does not extend. When time runs out, the sale ends

  • Comprar agora (buy now): fixed price, the buyer buys right away at the price you set

This article covers the two modes with offers: Oferta em tempo real and Morte súbita.

Step 1: Set up the product

When creating or editing the product, choose Oferta em tempo real or Morte súbita as the sell mode and fill in:

Sell mode screen with Real-time offers selected, Starting price and Duration fields visible

  • Starting price: the amount of the first offer. The minimum is $5

  • Timer: how long the sale lasts, in seconds

Step 2: Start the sale during your live

When you are live, find the product in your list and start the sale. The product shows on screen for everyone, the timer starts and buyers can make offers.

You can have one sale running at a time. To start the next one, wait for the current sale to end.

Step 3: The timer extends at the end (Oferta em tempo real)

If an offer comes in during the last seconds, the timer goes back to a few seconds. This gives other buyers a chance to respond. The sale ends when the timer reaches zero with no new offer.

With Morte súbita, the timer does not extend. When it reaches zero, the sale ends, even if someone made an offer in the last second. It is a good way to speed up your live.

How much each offer goes up

Each new offer has to beat the previous one by a minimum amount, which grows as the price goes up. The app shows the next offer amount on the button.

The $1 step no longer exists.

Oferta máxima (max offer): the buyer can set a maximum, and the app makes offers for them automatically, step by step, up to that limit.

If two offers have the same amount, the one that came in first wins.

Step 4: The sale ends

When the timer reaches zero:

  • The highest offer wins

  • The winning buyer has a few minutes to complete the payment, by Pix or card

  • The sale shows in your sales list. After the live ends, you confirm the sales on the live dashboard, with Confirmar Vendas (Confirm sales), within the time shown there

If the payment is not completed in time, the sale is cancelled and you can put the product up for sale again. If nobody makes an offer, the product stays unsold and can be started again later.

Pre-offers

Both modes accept pre-offers: buyers can make an offer on the product before your live starts. When you start the sale, the pre-offers already count, and the live audience competes against them.

Pre-offers are only available when the product's quantity is 1. See Pre-offers.

Key tips

  • Start with a low starting price. $5 attracts more offers, and competition pushes the final price up

  • But only use a price you accept. If only one person makes an offer, the product sells at that price

  • Talk while the timer runs. Describe the product and encourage your audience

  • Mix both modes in the same live to vary the pace

  • 15 to 30 seconds usually works well. Too short and buyers do not react, too long and they lose interest

  • Turn on pre-offers for your best products

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum starting price? $5, for Oferta em tempo real and Morte súbita.

What is the timer range? You choose it when creating the product, within the limits shown in the app.

Why can't I offer just $1 more anymore? Steps are now progressive: the minimum amount of each new offer grows as the price goes up. The app always shows the next offer amount.

Can I cancel a sale after it starts? Yes. You can cancel a running sale. The product goes back to the list and can be started again.

What happens if the buyer does not pay? The sale is cancelled and you can put the product up for sale again.

Can I run several sales at the same time? No. One sale runs on screen at a time. Comprar agora products you have already shown stay available to buy in your live while there is stock.

Is there a commission on sales? Yes. Jamble's standard commission is 10% of the final price, in every sell mode. It is deducted before the amount reaches your wallet.
