Pre-offers, buyers offer before a product goes on sale

What you'll learn

A Pre-offer (Pré-oferta) lets a buyer place an offer on a product in a live before it goes on sale. When the seller starts the sale, the Pre-offers join the bidding on their own. This guide shows when Pre-offers are available, how a buyer places one, and how the seller turns them on and follows them.

When Pre-offers are available

Pre-offers work on products that meet all of these conditions:

  • The product is in a scheduled live, or in a live that has already started but the product has not gone on sale yet

  • The sale mode is Ofertas em Tempo Real (Real-time offers) or Morte Súbita (Sudden Death)

  • The product quantity is 1

  • The seller turned on Pre-offers for that product

Comprar Agora (Buy It Now) does not accept Pre-offers, and products with more than one unit do not either. Pre-offers work in the app on iPhone and on Android.

How the seller turns on Pre-offers

  1. Create or edit the product for your live

  2. Choose Ofertas em Tempo Real (Real-time offers) or Morte Súbita (Sudden Death) and keep the quantity at 1

  3. Turn on Ativar pré-ofertas (Enable Pre-offers: allow users to make offers before the live starts)

If you change the quantity to more than 1 or switch to Comprar Agora (Buy It Now), the option disappears.

How a buyer places a Pre-offer

  1. Find the product in the lives calendar, on the live page, on the seller's profile or on the product page

  2. Tap the product's offer button, such as Enviar oferta (Submit offer)

Product card in a scheduled live with the seller name, countdown, starting price and Submit offer button

  1. Choose the maximum amount you are willing to pay. The minimum next offer is calculated automatically and always shown on screen (Mín:, Min)

  2. Confirm the offer. The app shows Oferta confirmada! (Offer confirmed!)

You only pay what you need to win, never more than your max. If the amount is below the minimum, the app shows O valor da sua oferta é muito baixo (Your offer amount is too low) and asks you to increase your offer.

What happens when the sale starts

When the seller starts the product's sale in the live, each Pre-offer automatically becomes an Oferta máxima (Max offer). The app offers for you, step by step, up to your maximum, while the live audience offers too.

  • The sale starts with the highest Pre-offer in the lead

  • If two people set the same maximum, whoever offered first stays in the lead

  • The winner pays like any live purchase, by card or Pix, within a few minutes

  • If someone beats your maximum, you pay nothing

The seller does not need to accept Pre-offers one by one. They all join the bidding on their own when the sale starts. If the seller changes the starting price to an amount above your Pre-offer, it no longer counts.

How the seller follows Pre-offers

In your live's product list, each product card shows the highest Pre-offer amount and how many offers it has received. That way you know which items arrive already in demand.

If the winner does not pay in time and you rerun the product's sale, the Pre-offers placed before the sale join the bidding again.

Where the buyer follows their Pre-offers

The app has an Ofertas (Offers) screen with your Pre-offers, split into Ofertas ativas (Active offers) and Ofertas fechadas (Closed offers). Each row shows the product, the amount, and whether your offer is the highest or has been beaten.

As long as the product has not gone on sale, you can open the Pre-offer and increase the amount.

Important tips

  • A Pre-offer is a commitment. Once sent, you can increase the amount, but you cannot lower or cancel it

  • Nothing is charged or reserved when you send it. You only pay if you win the sale

  • Pre-offers work best on unique or rare items. The competition starts before the live and the product goes on sale with offers already in place

  • Set a realistic starting price. The starting price is the minimum for the first Pre-offer. A price that is too high keeps offers away

Common questions

Can a buyer cancel or lower a Pre-offer? No. A Pre-offer can only be increased while the product has not gone on sale.

Does the buyer pay when placing a Pre-offer? No. Nothing is charged or reserved when you send a Pre-offer. Payment only happens if you win the sale in the live.

What if the seller never puts the product up for sale? If the live ends without the product going on sale, the Pre-offer no longer counts and nothing is charged.

Can I place a Pre-offer during the live? Yes, as long as the product has not gone on sale yet. Once the product's sale starts, you offer directly in the live.

Can I place a Pre-offer on my own product? No. The app shows the alert Você não pode fazer ofertas no seu próprio produto (You cannot make offers on your own product).

Do Pre-offers work on Android? Yes. You can place and follow Pre-offers in the app on iPhone and on Android.
