Paying in card installments
On eligible credit card purchases, you can split the payment into installments.
How to pay in installments
When paying, choose your credit card.
If the purchase can be split, the installment options show at checkout.
Choose the number of installments. For each option, you see the installment amount, the total and the surcharge compared with paying in full (1x).
Confirm the payment.
On your first installment purchases, you always choose and confirm the installments at checkout.
Your installment preference
In Settings, tap Installments to set:
How many installments you prefer, or whether you always prefer to pay in full (1x)
From which amount you want to choose and confirm the installments at checkout
Your preferences apply to your next purchases, when installments are available. On a computer, the same option is in My Account, under Installments.
When installments are offered
Installments depend on a few conditions:
Credit card only. Pix payments are always paid in full
Depends on the seller. Some sellers do not accept installments yet
Depends on the purchase amount. Low-value purchases may not have the option, and each installment has a minimum amount
Depends on the card. Some cards do not accept installments
When installments are not available, checkout shows the reason and the payment is made in full (1x). To see the installment options, use the latest version of the app.
What it costs
Paying in installments has a surcharge, paid by the buyer. The surcharge grows with the number of installments. Paying in full (1x) has no surcharge.
You see the amount of each installment and the total before you confirm. In the order summary, the surcharge is included in the Processing fees line.
