The Jgive platform allows you to set customized access permissions for users in your charity account. This way, you can give access only to those who need it, according to their role, without exposing all data or management options.
For example, if your charity works with an external campaign manager who is not part of the organization, you can grant them access only to the specific campaign they are associated with.
Available Permission Types
Admin
- Full access to all data and actions in the account
- Suitable for management or administrative staff of the organization
Campaigns Manager
- Access to all data and actions related to campaigns, with access to the analytics, fundraising, and donations pages
- Suitable for those responsible for managing the fundraising process
Campaign Manager with Limited Access
- Limited access to data and actions of only the specific campaigns assigned in the permission settings, including analytics, fundraising, and donations pages
- Suitable for volunteers managing a single campaign, advertisers, or external partners
How to Set Access Permissions?
After logging into your charity account, go to the 'Account Settings' page, open the 'Access' tab, and click '+ Add New'
Fill in the user details. The type of permission is set using the 'Role' field.
For example, to give a user access to only one specific campaign, select 'Campaign Manager' as the role, and disable the 'Access to All Campaigns' setting.
In the 'Campaign Access' field, choose the specific campaign(s) this user should have access to.
Click the Add button.
At this stage, the user's status will be "Pending" until they confirm the invitation email sent to them.
Once the user confirms the invitation via email, their status will change to "Approved"
Tips for Smart Use of Permissions
Keep Admin permissions limited to a few trusted individuals only
If someone leaves their role – make sure to remove or update their permission
Conduct regular permission reviews to ensure everything is still relevant
