So you made a donation and discovered something's not right? Maybe the amount came out wrong, the name isn't accurate, or you wrote a personal name instead of a company name.
What can be done?
Unfortunately, it's not possible to edit a donation once it's been processed. The reason is reporting and tax laws - once the donation is recorded in the system, a receipt is automatically generated and sent to the tax authorities.
Therefore, the only options are:
Request a credit for the original donation (the one with the mistake)
Make a new donation with the correct details

How long does it take?
The process typically takes 24-48 business hours. After the credit is approved, the money will be returned to your payment method, and only then can you make the donation again with the correct details.
If the campaign is ending soon, mention that in the form and we'll try to expedite the process.
Why is it like this?
The reason donations can't be edited is that every donation is immediately reported to the tax authorities (for your receipt and for the nonprofit). Therefore, any change requires a complete cancellation and a new donation.
