My donation was not sent to my employer for tax credit. How can I send it retroactively?

Updated over a week ago

Any employee at an organization that uses Jgive@work services can sign up with a brief registration, link their account to the employer, and send all their Jgive donations to the employer for tax credit purposes.

There are two situations where a donation isn't sent to the employer for tax credit, but can be attributed to the employer retroactively:

  1. The donation was made with the employer's email address, but the account was not registered with the platform and connected to the employer before making the donation.

  2. The account was registered and connected to the employer, but the account was not connected to the account before making the donation.

In both situations, the donation can be retrospectively sent to the employer for salary credit (up to a ceiling of 25,000 NIS per calendar year).

Situation 1: The donation was made before registering and linking the account to the employer

Please note: This situation only applies if the donation was made using the company's email address and only for a limited time after the donation was made

Follow these steps:

  1. Register for Jgive using the unique link provided by the employer, or create a donor account with an email address that matches the employer's domain, and then connect the account to the employer according to this guide.

  2. Confirm your account through the email we sent you

  3. Sign in to your account

  4. Add the donations made to your account retrospectively by clicking "Claim donations":

  5. Send donations to the employer for tax credit by clicking "Send invoice to employer" on the donation line under the "Donations" tab. You can also find this option under the "Fund Deposits" tab. This only applies to deposits that haven't already been sent to the employer.

Just to confirm, you can check if the receipt was sent to the employer by looking for the company logo under the "Receipt" column in the donation line.

Situation 2:The account exists and is linked to the employer, but the donor was not logged in prior to making the donation

Please note! This situation is only true if the donation was made with the employer's email address and only for a limited period of time from the date of the donation

In this situation, the following steps must be followed:

  1. Sign in to your account

  2. Add the donations made to your account retrospectively by clicking "Claim donations":
