Introduction πŸ‘‹

There may come a time in your contract's lifecycle when you have to work outside of Juro. Your counterparty may request to do their redlining in Word, or sign using their own software and then send you back a PDF of the fully executed document.

With Juro's New version feature, you can update your contract in Juro with the latest version without having to create a completely new document. Moreover, you can keep track of the different versions and the changes made between each version in the contract's Timeline.

πŸ’‘ NOTE: This feature is not available for documents that have been through Juro's Negotiation Flow.

Uploading a new version from your Contracts dashboard πŸ“‘

To upload a Word or PDF file as a version from your dashboard:

1. Click + Add document and select Upload from your computer.

2. Drag and drop your files into the upload portal, or click select from your computer to locate the files from your desktop.

Juro will detect documents that it suspects are already in Juro, and ask you to confirm:

For Word files:

  • if the document is a new version of an existing document, or;

  • A new document entirely

For PDF files:

  • if the document is an Uploaded or Fully Signed version of an existing document

  • A new document entirely

πŸ’‘ NOTE: For PDF files, you can choose between the following statuses:

  • Uploaded: edits can still be made to the contract and new versions added

  • Fully Signed: the document will be locked and no further changes will be possible.

Once you've made your choice, click Upload to be redirected to the document.

Uploading a new version from within an existing document πŸ“₯

Uploading a new version from within an existing Juro document is almost identical to the above process. For this step, starting in the document itself:

1. Click the upload icon at the top of the page.

2. Select the relevant file from your desktop. Juro will detect will detect documents that it suspects are already in your workspace and ask you to confirm, for Word files:

  • if the document is a new version of an existing document, or;

  • A new version of the current contract

  • A new contract entirely;

And for PDF files, you can choose between the following statuses:

  • Uploaded: edits can still be made to the contract and new versions added

  • Fully Signed: the document will be locked and no further changes will be possible.

Once you've made your choice and clicked Upload, your document will update to the latest version.

Uploading encrypted documents as versions 🀺

You can upload encrypted documents as new versions in a few simple steps. From your Contracts homepage.

1. Click + Add document and select Upload from your computer.

2. Drag and drop your files into the upload portal, or click select from your computer to locate the files from your desktop.

3. Juro will automatically recognise documents within the workspace, and ask you to update them or upload a new one if they were previously created via Juro.

4. Fill in the password for the file and select Enter.

Once the password has been entered successfully, you'll be asked to update a document if it already exists in Juro or create a new document entirely if it doesn't.

This feature also works with our Salesforce integration. You can create a contract via Salesforce and upload the 'fully signed PDF file' as a new version in Juro. At this point, the file will then be fed back into Salesforce.
