Two-factor Authentication (or 2FA) protects your online accounts beyond standard username and password requirements.
β
In essence, 2FA adds an extra layer of security, defending your Juro workspace from unauthorised access and keeping your sensitive data secure.
Setting up 2FA π
π‘ NOTE: Turning on 2FA applies to the Juro profile in which it is activated; users must activate this feature for their own profiles.
When a user first enables 2FA, they'll receive backup codes to use if their authenticator doesn't receive Juro verification codes during a login attempt - this sometimes can happen when a user changes devices.
We strongly advise all users to safely log and store these codes for future use.
To get started, you'll need to download a 2FA authenticator application (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) to your mobile device. Then, in Juro:
2. Scan the QR code from your mobile deviceβs 2FA application and enter it in the Verification code field, and click Continue. |
|
Disabling 2FA π
3. Enter the verification code from your mobile deviceβs 2FA application, and click the Yes, deactivate button. |
|
Two-factor authentication is now turned off for your Juro profile π
NB: Managing recovery codes π
π¨ Copy and store recovery codes in a safe place in case you forget 2FA.
β
βDo not give anyone your recovery code: if you lose these codes, you should immediately update your 2FA settings.
To do this:
A new QR code will be displayed. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code to add Juro. Enter the verification code shown in your authenticator app to confirm the setup.
β
You'll receive a set of new backup codes. Save these somewhere safe β they can be used to sign in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app. Your old authenticator is now deactivated, and the new one is active.
