We've made it easy to invest regularly with our Auto-invest feature, but you may have some questions about how it works in practice. Here are some of the finer details on how Auto-invest works.

Can I have more than one Auto-Invest?

No, but you can invest in as many or as few funds as you choose. You can also set up different investment amounts into each fund, but they will all need to be on the same investment cycle, i.e. weekly or fortnightly.

How do I change my Auto-Invest?

To change your auto-invest, you will need to stop your existing plan by switching the 'On' toggle button on the dashboard to 'Off', then you can recreate a new auto-invest plan.

There is no end date to the auto-invest plan. If you would like to end or pause your plan, you will need to toggle 'Off' from within the dashboard. Read our FAQ here.

Which days are the investment orders processed?

Auto-invest orders are processed at the same time as our regular investment cycle, which occurs each business day at 12pm (except on public holidays). You can find out more about our investment cycle here.

What happens if the Auto-Invest order falls on a public holiday?

As with our current buy and sell process, we will shift the Auto-invest order to the next trading day. We typically process the orders on the next business day, but we will notify you of these changes and if we intend to process them on a different date.

What happens if I don't have enough money in my wallet?

If you don't have money in your wallet on the day we process your investment order, we will automatically check your wallet in the next two days in case your deposit arrives in the wallet late. If, after 3 attempts, you still do not have enough money in your wallet, your Auto-invest plan will be cancelled.

You will receive an email notification if this happens and if you want to re-commence your Auto-invest, you can do so via the Kernel platform.

Are there fees associated with Auto-Invest?

No! There are no transaction fees associated with an auto-invest plan and there are no penalty fees for cancelling a plan or having a missed payment.

Is there a minimum Auto-Invest order?

The minimum auto-investment order is $1 into any Kernel fund.

Where do I see my Auto-Invest trades?

Under the 'Transactions' tab you can view your entire transaction history including:

  • Member fee deductions

  • Deposits and withdrawals from your wallet

  • Investment buy and sell orders (both one-off and Auto-invest orders)
