To switch between your investment funds, you need to place a sell trade followed by a buy trade.
You can switch between funds using the following steps:
Log in to your Kernel account
Sell out of the fund(s) you no longer want to invest in
If your confirmation is received before 12pm on a business day, your order will likely begin processing on the same day, unless it is a public holiday.
Two business days after processing has begun, your completed order will reflect on your account.
Once your cash is available, simply make a manual order into your desired fund(s).
An example in practice
On Friday at 10 am, Kate decides she wants to switch from NZ 20 Global 100. She confirms her NZ 20 sell order shortly after.
On the same day at 12 pm, her order will begin processing and her funds will be available in her wallet on Tuesday afternoon.
She logs into her account to re-invest them on Wednesday morning, and the trades are processed at 12 pm on the same day.
Voila, an investment switch.
