If you're looking to sell a few or all units of a fund, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Kernel account. Navigate to the 'Invest' tab, then scroll down to the 'Your Investments' section. Select the fund you would like to sell units in.
Step 2: Once the fund drawer opens, click the 'Sell' button. Enter the number of units you wish to sell, or opt to sell all units in the fund by selecting the 'Sell all units' link.
To review the details, click 'Review order'.
Step 3: Once you have reviewed your order and are happy to proceed, click 'Place sell order'.
Please note: the order will go through on the next trading date after the order is placed. We trade on weekdays at 12pm (midday), not including public holidays. The completed sell order will be reflected in your dashboard 2 days after it has begun processing (T+2).
If you wish to cancel a order you can do so before your order has begun processing (12 pm on the displayed date).
How to sell partial units in a fund
We currently have a system limitation requiring a minimum of one unit for a sell order and a minimum of $1 for withdrawals.
If you want to sell partial units in a fund or withdraw the residual balance from your Kernel wallet, we can manually place a sell order for you. Please reach out to us at support@kernelwealth.co.nz to request a manual sell order.
