If you do not have an NZ passport or NZ drivers licence, we can accept a certified copy of your foreign passport.

Getting a document certified

A certified copy is a photocopy that has been stamped or endorsed by a person who confirms that the copy is a true copy and matches your identity.

The certified ID document must have a true likeness statement as follows:

β€œI certify this to be a true copy of the original, which I have sighted, and the photo represents a true likeness of [the person presenting].

We can accept documents certified by a:

  • Justice of the Peace

  • Solicitor of the High Court

  • Notary Public (there may be a cost)

Once you have a certified copy of your passport, you can send it along with a copy of your latest proof of address to support@kernelwealth.co.nz
