Introduction
This guide will walk you through how to view and export your ESG report in the KEY ESG platform. Whether you're reviewing your collected ESG data or want to create a custom report for your organisation, follow these steps to make the most out of your reporting features.
Customisation in reports
Before downloading your reports, ensure that you have added your company logo to the platform to enable more customisation in your reports
When on the platform, navigate to your initials in the top right-hand corner and click on this
Click into 'user management'
Here you will see your general company settings and can also upload your company logo.
Company logos are displayed on PDF exports on a white background. Horizontal logos work best.
Step 1: Access Your Report
From the home screen, select Reports from the left-hand menu.
You will see two report tabs:
Company: Shows data by company
Portfolio: Shows more granular, portfolio data
Targets and Action Plans: Displays any targets and action plans created, a good overview to see what targets have been actioned. This report can be filtered by company.
SFDR Fund Metrics: Displays data specifically for SFDR reporting
Step 2: Interact with Your Data
Once on the tab, your interactive report will appear with all the collected ESG metrics.
Some metrics, like GHG Scope 1 emissions, are categorised into drop-downs, such as stationary combustion. By clicking the drop-down, you can see specific data points, like natural gas or manufacturing fuels.
To drill down further, click on an underlined value (interactive data). This will take you to the data submission page, where you can explore monthly/quarterly data (if data was submitted in this cadence) for selected metrics.
Step 3: Customise Your View
You can slice and dice your data with the available views and filters.
Company reports tab:
Vs Prior Year: Compare emissions across different years, e.g., 2022 vs. 2023, showing the variance in percentage.
Entity View: View data by different locations, like offices in London or Amsterdam.
Monthly Breakdown: View data by month for a detailed analysis of a reporting year.
Quarterly Breakdown: This is particularly useful for investors or stakeholders needing quarterly data.
Portfolio reports tab:
Metrics: Select only the metrics you're interested in, such as social metrics.
Companies and funds: select only specific companies or funds (when looking at companies you can also see it as a fund average)
Countries: only see data for specific countries
Industries: only see data for specific industry
Step 4: Apply Filters
You can apply filters to focus on specific data:
Data Request: Filter data by the specific data request, e.g., EDCI.
Metrics: Select only the metrics you're interested in, such as environmental metrics.
Entities: Filter by specific offices or locations, such as London.
Step 5: Save Your View
After applying your filters, save your view for quick access later.
Click Save View, give it a name (e.g., "London EDCI Quarterly Report"), and choose whether to share it with your organisation or keep it private.
Saved views can be accessed via the drop-down menu under Select Saved View.
Step 6: Export Your Report
Click Export to download your report in different formats:
Current Report View as an Excel file.
All Data for 2023 as an Excel file.
All-Time Data as an Excel file.
Carbon Auditable Report as an Excel file for external reviews.
Export all notes as PDF
Quarterly or monthly data by entity and company
Conclusion: Now that you know how to navigate the report section, you can easily view, customise, and export your ESG data. If you need any assistance or have questions, feel free to reach out to our support team through in-platform chat or via email at support@keyesg.com.
