If you select our "Skip the DMV" registration service, we will send you registration paperwork, collect sales tax and registration fees and submit it to your state's DMV for you. If you don't select this service, we'll mail you your title package and you'll need to complete registration at your local DMV yourself. Our registration service is not available in all states, so you may not see this option for your deal.
When will I receive my registration paperwork?
We usually prepare and send registration paperwork within 1-2 weeks after you pick up the vehicle. However, some transactions require that we wait until we receive the title or lien release before we send your registration paperwork. The exact timing depends on the details of each transaction, which can vary widely. Because of this, we’re not able to provide a more precise estimate for individual cases.
How will I receive my paperwork?
Some states allow us to email your paperwork, but not in all cases. If we can’t email the paperwork, you’ll receive it in the mail.
Can I select the “Skip the DMV” service later?
If we haven’t sent your title package yet, you can contact us to request that we complete registration for you. We’ll update your deal to collect sales tax and registration fees for your state.
