eCommerce Programs Only

Kickbooster now allows you to both increase and decrease your affiliate commission and discount rates. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to adjust these settings either through your general program settings or on a per-affiliate basis.

Overview

You have two options for adjusting rates:

  1. General Program Settings:

    • Applies to: All existing affiliates (excluding custom affiliates) and new affiliates at signup.

    • Effect on Referrals:

      • New Referrals: All referrals made after the change will use the updated rates.

      • Previous Referrals: Referrals recorded before the change retain the original rate.

  2. Specific Affiliate Settings:

    • Applies to: An individual affiliate’s offer only.

    • Effect on Referrals:

      • New Referrals: Updated rates will apply going forward for that affiliate.

      • Previous Referrals: As with general settings, past referrals remain at their originally recorded rate.

Note: When an offer for a specific affiliate is adjusted, that affiliate is marked as a custom affiliate for that offer type. As a result, any future changes to the general program's offers of that type will not apply to them. Learn more about custom affiliates

    • New Referrals: Referrals made after the update will use the new commission and/or discount rates.

    • Previous Referrals: Referrals completed before the change will retain their original rates.

  • Specific Affiliate Adjustments:

    • The updated rate will affect any referrals made after the change for that individual affiliate, while past referrals will usually remain unchanged.
