How to Create and Use Meeting Scorecards in Kickscale

Meeting Scorecards in Kickscale help you evaluate sales meetings in a structured and consistent way.

Written by Fabian Riedlsperger

Meeting Scorecards in Kickscale help you evaluate sales meetings consistently and effectively. Whether you're using popular qualification frameworks like SPICED, BANT, or MEDDIC, or customizing your own, Scorecards simplify measuring performance, enhance coaching, and help your sales team continuously improve.

Kickscale’s AI now automatically generates suggested scores for each criterion, saving valuable time. Human reviewers can always review and override these suggestions if needed. Scores provided by the AI are clearly marked with a ✨ sparkle icon.

What Are Meeting Scorecards?

Meeting Scorecards allow you to systematically assess sales meetings based on predefined criteria. Each criterion includes:

  • Criterion Name

  • Evaluation Question

  • Weight Multiplier: The impact of this specific item on the total score.

  • Rating Scale (1 to 5): Clear descriptions for each score point to ensure consistent and fair grading across your team.

Example Criterion:

1 (Poor)

3 (Average)

5 (Excellent)

How to Create and Edit Scorecards

Admins and RevOps professionals can configure scorecards for existing or new meeting types within the workspace settings.

Step 1: Navigate to Scorecard Settings

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on the Analysis Configuration tab.

  3. Select the Scorecards sub-tab.

Step 2: Configure Your Criteria

  1. Click + Add to create a new scorecard from scratch, or click the Edit (pencil) icon next to an existing item.

  2. Enter a Name and provide a clear Question for evaluation.

  3. Set the Weight multiplier in the top right corner.

How Weight Works: Multiplying a scorecard's weight makes it more important. For example, a weight of 2 makes it twice as important as a scorecard with a weight of 1.

  4. Fill out the Score Descriptions (optional) for ratings 1 through 5.
    Note:
You can configure Scorecards similarly when creating a new meeting type from scratch.

Scoring Meetings and Coaching

When you configure scorecards for your workspace, they automatically analyze your customer conversations and appear directly inside your meeting reviews.

Review AI-Generated Suggestions

  • The Scorecards tab automatically appears inside the Coaching view of a meeting.

  • Kickscale’s AI provides suggested scores for each criterion based on the call transcript.

  • A circular visual chart maps out individual performance across your different criteria (e.g., Situation Understanding, Problem, Need-Payoff), showing your total Average Score.

Refine and Override Scores

  • Review & Override: You can easily adjust or manually change any AI-suggested score.

  • Actionable Feedback: Read the AI-generated feedback and recommendations sections to find targeted coaching tips.

  • Jump to Transcript: Click on the timestamped observations under the scorecard to jump straight to that exact moment in the call recording.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Regularly review and calibrate your scoring criteria for consistency.

  • Utilize predefined templates to save time and maintain alignment with industry-standard frameworks.

  • Always encourage reviewers to add meaningful comments for deeper insights and more effective coaching.

  • Periodically analyze scoring patterns across multiple meetings to identify trends and coaching opportunities.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the Scorecards tab when editing a meeting type.

  • Confirm you're in the Edit Meeting Type view under Analysis Configuration.

I added a Scorecard, but it’s not appearing in the meeting.

  • Verify the meeting uses the correct meeting type configured with the Scorecard.

I can't save a criterion or the Scorecard.

  • Ensure all required fields (name, question, rating scale, descriptions) are correctly completed.
