How approvals work
Whenever the Agent wants to perform an action that requires permission, it will pause and ask for your approval.
You can then choose to:
Approve – The Agent performs the action only for the current request.
Reject – The action is cancelled.
Always allow this tool for the current chat – The Agent can use this tool without asking again during the current conversation.
Allow tools without approval
If there are tools you want the agent to perform without your input, then you can configure the Agent to use them automatically.
To do this:
Open Agent Settings.
Navigate to Tool Preferences.
Enable the tools you want the Agent to execute without requesting approval.
Once a tool is enabled in Tool Preferences, the Agent can use that tool automatically whenever it is needed. It will no longer ask for permission before executing actions with that tool.
Tools that are approved for this chat session can be managed at the bottom of the chat box.
Scheduled Tasks and Trigger Events
Human-in-the-Loop also applies to automated workflows.
If you create a Scheduled Task (Cronjob) or a Trigger Event that uses a tool requiring approval, the automation itself must first be approved before it can run successfully.
Best Practices
Keep approval enabled for tools that make important changes to customer or CRM data.
Allow trusted tools in Tool Preferences if you want the Agent to work more autonomously.
Review new automations before enabling them to ensure they have the permissions they need.
If a Scheduled Task or Trigger Event is waiting for approval, check whether one of its required tools still requires permission.
