If you rely on a family member, friend, or professional caregiver to help manage your medical transportation, you can now invite that person to book and manage rides directly through the app. The caregiver doesn't need to already have an account or exist in the Kinetik system — once invited, they accept, verify their connection to you, and can start managing rides on your behalf.
Step by Step
1. Invite a Caregiver
Open the Caregiver section in your profile settings.
Enter your caregiver's email address or phone number.
Send the invitation.
Note: Your caregiver doesn't need a Member App account or an existing Kinetik record to receive the invitation. You can view your active caregiver/pending invitation from the same Caregiver section.
2. Your Caregiver Accepts the Invitation
If your caregiver already has a Member App account (as a member or as a caregiver for someone else), the connection is added to their existing account.
If they don't have an account, they can create one using any email address, as long as it matches the one the invitation was sent to.
Your caregiver enters your Member ID and date of birth to verify the relationship.
Confirms your account and creates a password to complete the set up.
3. What Your Caregiver Can and Can't Do
Your caregiver can do:
Book new rides for you.
View your upcoming rides, trip status, and trip history.
Cancel or modify your upcoming rides.
Your caregiver cannot do:
Edit your profile settings, preferences, or preferred providers.
Share your trip details with others.
You will need to call the health plan yourself to make modifications to your profile
Note: Rides booked by your caregiver are tagged with their identity, so it's always clear who requested the trip.
4. Revoking Access
Open the Caregiver section in your profile settings.
Select the caregiver you'd like to remove.
Revoke their access.
Note: Once revoked, your caregiver will see a message the next time they try to access your profile, and notifications for your rides stop immediately.
