As an HR Manager or Account Owner in People by Wagepoint, you can add files to share with your team or to store them digitally.

Adding files to the files section in the company view will allow you to share files with several people. This section is your filing cabinet for files that are used over and over again, like onboarding files or handbooks.

There are three types of files: a downloadable file, a downloadable file that requires completion, or a digital file that can be completed right in People by Wagepoint.

To get started, click the plus sign in the top right corner from any page and select File, or click Files from the left hand navigation. Then, click Add File button in the top right of the files page. Next, drag and drop or upload up to 5 files into the pop up.

Note: Supported file types are .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .zip, .pdf

Next, you'll choose what to do with each file. You will work with 1 file at a time. Click Continue to begin configuring each file.

Once you click Continue, you can choose which type of file you'd like to create and share with your team. If you choose a file type that requires completion, you'll be able to assign a due date for this group. To read more about creating a digital file, click here

You'll notice the files you uploaded are in the box at the bottom of your screen ready to follow the same process. Cool, huh?

You can categorize your files for organization. Create categories or add a file to an existing category here:

Once your file is created, you can select which employees to share the file with. You're able to add a comment along with the file, and choose to send an email notification. Click Share File... to finish up! You can also save your document without sharing for sharing later.

Manage files on your Files tab. You'll be able to see, at a glance, the status of your shared file. Click the file name for more details.

From the Overview, you can send email reminders to those who have yet to complete the file, and view the status of each individual file.

Employee-Specific Files
You can also add files directly to an employee's profile. This can be reserved for files specific to that person, like offer letters. Click the employee from the company view, employee directory, and select Files from the left navigation. Follow the steps above to add files.
