My size chart is not showing where I expect. What should I check?

Five checks for a Kiwi size chart missing from a product page or appearing in the wrong place, and where to go next.

This article is the starting point when a Kiwi size chart is missing from a product page or appears somewhere other than where you put it. It covers where the chart appears by default, which setting wins when two of them disagree, and five checks to run in order. Each check links to the article for more detail, so you can stop as soon as you find the cause.

Who this is for: merchants setting up or troubleshooting size chart display on product pages. Most of it happens in the Kiwi app and the Shopify theme editor. One fix, adding the {% render 'kiwiSizing' %} snippet to theme.liquid, means editing theme code directly, so you need permission to edit your theme. That route is a fallback, not the recommended one.

Plan required: none. The Sizing Injection Selector and Enable reinject are available on every Kiwi plan, including Free.

Where does the size chart appear by default?

With no customization, the size chart appears as a pop-up link directly above the Add to cart button on the product page.

Once you customize placement, it appears wherever the placement selector or the app block puts it. If neither resolves, the chart falls back to appearing near the first Add to cart form on the page.

Which placement setting wins?

Kiwi decides in a fixed order:

  1. Custom injection, when a selector is set

  2. The app block, where you placed it in the theme editor

  3. The default fallback, near the first Add to cart form

This is the most common surprise: a chart can be correctly configured in the app block and still not appear where you expect, because a custom injection selector overrides it. The full explanation is in How Size Chart Placement Works in Kiwi (Placement Priority Explained).

Five checks, in order

Work down this list and stop when one of them explains what you are seeing.

  1. Is the Kiwi Size Chart app block enabled in the product template?
See How do I enable the Kiwi size chart on my theme?

  2. Is the chart assigned to that product and template in the app?
See How to Match Size Charts with Products. If it shows on some products but not others, check for exclude filters in Size Chart Not Showing on Some Collection Products.

  3. Does the placement selector target an element that is actually visible on the page?
See How to Move the Size Chart on Your Product Page (Advanced: Using Sizing Injection Selector).

  4. Have you cleared your browser cache and refreshed the page?
Theme editor changes in particular can look absent until the page is reloaded without cache.

Go straight to the answer

If your situation matches one of these, skip the checks above.

What you are seeing

Where to go

It disappeared after I updated my theme

It disappears when a customer picks a different size or color

I want to drag it into place without touching code

A color swatch app is pushing it out of place

It is showing, but hard to read

Will my size charts keep working as my store changes?

Adding new products does not break placement. A chart continues to appear on any product that matches its conditions, including products you add later, so you do not need to revisit placement each time your catalog grows.

Changing your theme is different. Placement settings live in the theme, so a theme update or switch can remove the app block or change the element your selector targets. After either, open one product page and confirm the chart is still where you expect. If it is not, Size Chart Missing After Theme Update covers putting it back.

Still stuck?

Send us your theme name and version, and the URL of a product page where the chart is missing or in the wrong place. Those are the first two things a placement review starts with.
