Bulk Importing Client Assets

Format Your Client Asset Data for Import Into Our Asset Management

Here are the main ways to bulk import your client's Asset data into Klipboard and each method is used in particular ways to best add your assets. This article describes the approaches as follows:

Onboarding

If you're new to Klipboard, our inbuilt Onboarding section helps to get your account up and running in no time at all by following our four simple steps. To get started with our Onboarding section please click on the button below:


Import Assets by Location (Sites)

* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets to one client Location!

  • Navigate to Clients.

  • View the Client in question.

  • Navigate to the Client's Assets.

  • Click on the Import Assets button – A pop-up wizard will appear, select Import Assets By Location and click on the Download CSV file button. This is the import template to which you import your asset data.

Please note: There are instructions within the import template, please follow these carefully as they explain formatting and matching.

  • Once you have formatted your import file choose your Client Location from the drop-down available then select and attach the formatted .csv file of the client assets to upload by clicking on the Choose File button.



Import Assets by Location ID (Sites)

* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets across a Client's Multiple Locations!

  • Navigate to Clients.

  • View the Client in question.

  • Navigate to Client Assets.

  • Click on Import Assets – A pop-up wizard will appear, follow the three steps to download Client Location IDs and download an Import CSV file. This is the import template to which you import your asset data.

Please note: There are instructions within the import template, please follow these carefully as they explain formatting and matching.

  • Once you have formatted your import file and associated the assets with the correct Location IDs, select and attach the formatted .csv file of the client assets to upload by clicking on the Choose File button.


Import Client Assets (via Client IDs)

* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets across many Clients. Please note assets will only be added to a Client's main address!

  • Navigate to Asset Management.

  • Click on Import Assets – A pop-up wizard will appear, follow the three steps to download Client IDs and download an Import CSV file. This is the import template to which you import your asset data.

  • Once you have formatted your import file and associated the Assets with the correct Client IDs, click on the Choose File button and attach the formatted .csv file of the client assets to upload.
