There are several ways to bulk import your client’s asset data into Klipboard, each designed for different scenarios. Choosing the right method ensures your assets are added quickly and accurately. Below, we outline the main approaches and explain when to use each:

Import Assets by Location (Sites)
* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets to one client Location!
Navigate to Clients.
Select and view the client in question.
Go to the Client's Assets tab.
Click the Import Assets button.
In the pop-up wizard, choose Import Assets by Location.
Click Download CSV File – this will give you the import template where you can enter your asset data.
Please note: The import template includes instructions. Be sure to follow these carefully, as they explain the required formatting and field matching for a successful import.
After formatting your import file, select the client location from the drop-down, attach the CSV file, and click Choose File to upload the client assets.
Import Assets by Location ID (Sites)
* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets across a Client's Multiple Locations!
Navigate to Clients.
View the Client in question.
Navigate to Client Assets.
Click on Import Assets – A pop-up wizard will appear, follow the three steps to download Client Location IDs and download an Import CSV file. This is the import template to which you import your asset data.
Please note: There are instructions within the import template; please follow these carefully as they explain formatting and matching.
After formatting your import file and linking the assets with the correct Location IDs, attach the CSV file and click Choose File to upload the client assets.
Import Client Assets (via Client IDs)
* Tip - Used if you need to add many assets across many Clients. Please note that assets will only be added to a Client's main address!
Navigate to Asset Management.
Click on Import Assets – A pop-up wizard will appear, follow the three steps to download Client IDs and download an Import CSV file. This is the import template to which you import your asset data.

Once you have formatted your import file and associated the Assets with the correct Client IDs, click on the Choose File button and attach the formatted .csv file of the client assets to upload.
