What is the Teacher Feedback & Notes feature?
Kognity now allows teachers to provide direct feedback and add private notes on student submissions in Content Pages, including:
Activity Sheets
Performance Tasks
Quizzes
This feature helps teachers support student learning by keeping all feedback and notes directly connected to submissions within the platform.
Teacher Experience
Teachers can now both send feedback to students and add private notes for internal use.
1. Giving feedback to students
Teachers can provide written feedback on each question response.
To give feedback:
a. Open the lesson
b. Click Student submissions and select the student.
c. Navigate to the question and enter feedback in the Feedback field
d. Click Send feedback
Once feedback is sent:
The student receives a notification
The feedback appears in their submission view
💡 Teachers can save feedback as a draft and send it later.
💡 If multiple teachers are assigned to the same class, the feedback is shared across all teachers in that class.
2. Adding teacher notes
Teachers can also add notes that are not visible to students.
To add a teacher note:
a. Open the student submission
b. Locate the Teacher note section and enter your note.
Teacher notes:
Are only visible to teachers
Are shared across teachers in the same class
Are never shown to students
3. Viewing feedback and notes
Teachers can:
View feedback per question
Edit or update feedback
Re-send feedback if needed
Add and review private notes for each submission
All feedback and notes remain linked to the student’s submission.
Student Experience
Students can:
View feedback once it has been sent by the teacher
Receive a notification when new feedback is available
Access feedback directly within their submission
