You don’t need to have German citizenship to open a Kontist account
The following ID documents are accepted:
National ID card
Passport
Please note: We do not accept driver’s licenses or German residence permits.
We comply with BaFin regulations for video identification procedures. The identity check is carried out by our partner IDnow.

If your country of origin or ID document is not listed there, unfortunately, we are unable to open an account for you.
