We ask that families offer their nanny at least 9 hours of work per week during term time. Full details about how this works can be found here.
Sometimes nannies are sick or on holiday and cannot work the minimum hours in a month. In these cases, they'll be able to report any time they've had off on their timesheet and we'll adjust your invoice to reflect this. You'll also be able to check this before your final invoice is issued.
From October 2025 onwards, minimum hours are calculated using only the full weeks that end within the payroll month (26th–25th). This means any leave your nanny logs will continue to be excluded from the minimum hours calculation under this updated method.
If it is a consistent change, such as a university timetable change, which means your nanny is unavailable to work 9 hours a week regularly, let us know. We can then adjust the monthly minimum for every month going forwards.
For the November 2025 payroll month, only the full weeks from 26th October to 21st November are used to calculate minimum hours. Any hours worked from 22nd–25th November will be counted in the December payroll cycle.
