Zapier's email parser is your answer! It is an easy and reliable way for Agents to import leads to btPRO in a customized fashion.

Building a Zapier Email Parser to Push Leads to btPRO

Before you can start building a Zapier email parser, you must first create a Zapier account if you don't have one already.

Step 1: Sign Up and Create Your First Mailbox

  1. Log in using your Zapier account.

  2. Click 'Create Mailbox'

  3. Copy the custom email address that is generated.

  4. Go to your email inbox.

  5. Send the New Lead Notification email of the source you wish to parse to the copied address.

  6. Upon Zapier receiving the forwarded email, the page will update with message data:

Step 2: Confirm Mailbox Preferences & Highlight Data Fields

  1. Confirm the desired parsing address (we recommend leaving as is).

  2. In the 'Initial Template' field, highlight the text for each data value you wish to parse, for example, a lead first name.

  3. Upon saving the highlighted value with a name, Zapier will convert it to a variable tag.

  4. Repeat for each data value you'd like to parse.

  5. Select the 'Body source' preference (we recommend leaving as is).

  6. Select the 'Parser Engine' preference (we recommend leaving as is).

  7. When complete, click 'Save Address and Template'.

Yay! Your mailbox is now created and ready to be used in a 'Zap' to create leads in btPRO.

Step 3: Use Your Mailbox in a 'Zap'

If you haven't already, get Access to the btPRO/kvCORE Zapier App via the Zapier Invite Link.

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.

  2. Click to 'Make a Zap'.

  3. Select the Email Parser by Zapier app first.

  4. Then, select the btPRO/kvCORE app to connect.

  5. You will then be prompted to select what 'Trigger' you'd like to use (select New Email) and what Action to take in btPRO (select Create Contact (Post)).

  6. Click 'Try it' when prompted.

  7. When you land on the next page, click to expand the 'Trigger' and connect your Zapier Parser account.

  8. Once completed, click on the btPRO/kvCORE modal to expand it.

  9. Expand 'Account' to paste your Zapier key from your btPRO account.

  10. Once added, continue to 'Actions'.

  11. In each field, select the related field from the parsing mailbox you created.

  12. When completed, click 'Continue'.

  13. Click 'Test Step'.

  14. If you receive an error, address the prompt and update the Zap as outlined.

  15. Upon successful test, you'll see a test lead created in your btPRO account.

  16. When ready - hit 'Publish' to start pushing any new leads into btPRO via Zapier email parser automatically.

    1. NOTE: Zapier will only push new leads that fit your Zap upon publishing. It does not work retroactively.
