Overview of Lead Types

Review the different lead types and how to use them in btPRO to categorize potential deals.

Updated over a week ago

Available Lead Types

Lead Types should be used to organize leads by the type of deal or contact they are, such as a Buyer or a Seller (or both!).

Lead Types should be used regardless of where a lead may be at in the buying/selling process.

There are five available lead types in btPRO, which can be selected on their own or together:

  1. Buyer

  2. Seller

  3. Renter

  4. Vendor

  5. Agent

How to Add or Change a Lead Type

To update the Lead Type for an existing contact:

  1. Log in to btPRO.

  2. Click on Smart CRM.

  3. Search for the desired contact and click on their name to open their profile.

  4. Navigate to the Lead Types on the profile modal.

  5. Select or deselect the types you'd like applied to the contact.

    1. Remember you can select multiple types!

  6. See a success note in the bottom left corner of the page upon changing the type.

NOTE: Occasionally, you may see "Deal Type" instead of "Lead Type"; these both refer to the same 5 available options.

How to Filter the Smart CRM by Lead Type

Have a new listing and want to make an announcement to your buyer leads? Filtering the Smart CRM by Lead Type is the best way to find them.

To filter the Smart CRM by Lead Type:

  1. Log in to btPRO.

  2. Click on Smart CRM.

  3. Click on the black arrow directly between Playbooks and Smart CRM to expand filter options.

  4. Click on the applicable lead type(s) to automatically filter by the selected Type.

Only the contacts that have that Lead Type chosen in their profile will be displayed in the results.

From here, you can use one of the mass actions to communicate your message or take other actions as desired.
