Hello hello! πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

The Portal makes it easy to create, manage, and assign students to Supports so you can monitor your school's range of services that are designed to improve student outcomes.

This article will provide an overview of what Supports are, the Supports features available in the Portal, and how you can leverage these features for all kinds of needs that are tailored to your school.

Overview

What is a Support?

Supports in the Portal are structured and typically repeated services that are meant to support or provide intervention with students who need improvement in attendance, academics, mental and physical health, and extracurriculars. Our Support features are designed to be flexible so that you can customize your own experience based on your school's needs.

Why are Supports useful?

The Portal makes it easy to understand student data and identify needs across a group of students. In a few steps, you can determine which Supports to offer based on up-to-date student needs, create Supports in the Portal, and assign students to those Supports.

You can take and monitor attendance within Supports to understand which Supports are well attended and which are not, as well as understand individual students' dosages within a given Support, to help you monitor outcomes.

Lastly, you can Filter Lists and School Dashboards by individual Supports, Group Lists by Support, and add an "Active Supports" column to the Data Grid to help understand current student data against Supports.

Creating and assigning students to Supports

It's easy to create Supports in the Portal! School Admins, Delegated Admins, and School Wide editors are able to create and manage Supports in the Portal. (Learn more about user access levels here.) There are two ways to create Supports in the Portal: from the Settings page and when using Batch Actions to add students to a new Support.

School Admins, Delegated Admins, School Wide Editors, and Caseload Editors can quickly assign, remove, and complete students in Supports using Batch Actions in Lists, School Dashboards, and the Data Grid, and directly in the Student Profile. (Learn more about user access levels here.)

Managing Supports

School Admins, Delegated Admins, and School Wide Editors can duplicate, edit, and delete Supports in the Portal.

Duplicating a Support makes it easy to recreate a Support for a new term or group of students. Editing a Support lets you change the details of a Support. And if you've changed your mind about a Support, you can delete it completely from the Portal.

Taking attendance in a Support
