are prohibited under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 ("the Act") or any subsequent amendments, including dogs specifically named in the Act, dogs of a prohibited "type" (whether pure-bred or cross-bred), dogs that appear to have the characteristics of a prohibited type, dogs subject to a Court Order under the Act, or dogs that are, or must be, registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED)
This is a General Exclusion, meaning it applies regardless of the circumstances or how long ago it happened.
Our Policy Wording doesn't include a separate exclusion for a dog that has previously caused damage to property. If you're unsure whether your dog would be eligible for cover, please get in touch and we can talk through your circumstances.
