Yes, potentially, but only at renewal, and only for your Legal Liability cover, not your policy as a whole.
Under a condition of our Legal Liability Cover (Section 7.6 of our Policy Wording), if any of the following happen during your policy year:
your dog becomes aggressive or has had aggressive tendencies
your dog has bitten or attacked anyone or any animal
we classify your dog's breed as high risk, and it is added to a list of breeds we don't provide third-party liability cover for
We may choose not to renew your policy, or not to renew the Legal Liability section of your policy specifically.
This is different from the eligibility exclusion in Section 9.2, which applies when taking out a new policy.
This condition instead relates to what can happen at renewal, based on things that occurred during your current policy year. As with all our cover, each policy is only ever for the policy year taken out, so at the end of any policy year we can decide not to offer further cover, even if there have been no claims or other changes to your or your pet's information.
If you have any questions about how this might apply to your policy, please get in touch and we'll be happy to talk it through.
