Dispensing Cards Remotely

Using the LaundroPortal to remotely dispense new Laundry Cards

If needed you can trigger a VAC to dispense a Laundry Card remotely, with balance preloaded onto it.

This can be useful if you need to issue a Laundry Card to a customer remotely, or if you need to create a new system card and want to trigger the VAC to dispense a card with $0 preloaded.

Note: the VAC kiosk MUST be appearing online on the LaundroPortal in order to trigger it to dispense a card remotely.

Remotely Dispensing a Laundry Card

Step 1: Access the VAC Remote Commands Menu

You can remotely dispense a card from any VAC that's online, and has a Card Dispenser equipped.

Find the Command (CMD) button beside the wrench Icon for your VAC you wish to remotely dispense a card with:

Step 2: Select the desired preloaded amount

Click on the drop down menu, from the commands option list, and select the "Dispense Card" option.

Once selected, you will see the "Initial Amount" field where you can select the dollar value that will be preloaded on the card that is dispensed:

If dispensing a Card for the purpose of creating a new system card, it is recommended that you set the initial amount to $0 as to not inflate any reporting figures

Step 3: Trigger the VAC to dispense the card

Clicking the "Make Request" will trigger the VAC to dispense a laundry card with your initial amount preloaded onto it. The card will be dispensed from that particular VAC within a few seconds.

Ensure that the request shows as Uploaded in the Recent Command Requests section of the VAC commands menu:

If the request is still in a pending state, it means the VAC has not yet received your initial request.

Do NOT make a 2nd request until the VAC has picked up the first one, or else the VAC may end up dispensing multiple cards once those requests have been received.

If you're unsure if a Card was successfully dispensed by the VAC, check the VAC Logs as you should find a "Remote Card Dispense" transaction record for any successfully remote dispense:

This log will appear within seconds of the Card being dispensed (assuming there's no internet issues in the store); so if no card came out from the first request, there's no harm in making another request
